Gli elementi di architettura in marmo sono stati sempre parte integrante, nel corso dei secoli scorsi, della realizzazione di grandi edifici, cattedrali e monumenti.

Queste grandi opere erano ricche di elementi in marmo che, pur avendo all’epoca una funzione strutturale, non mancavano di parti artistiche per impreziosire il progetto. Colonne, cornici, trabeazioni, capitelli riccamente scolpiti abbellivano le facciate di chiese ed altri edifici importanti, mentre caminetti in stile, altari, pulpiti ed altri elementi di architettura ecclesiastica ne arricchivano gli interni.

Al giorno d’oggi, soprattutto per i costi elevati, questo tipo di realizzazioni è molto limitato, ma per edifici religiosi, restauri di opere esistenti e ville d’elite sono ancora richiesti articoli di questo tipo. The elements of the marble architecture have always been an integral part, over the course of the centuries, for the construction of important buildings, cathedrals and monuments.

These great works were rich in marble elements which, despite having a structural function at the time, did not lack artistic parts to embellish the project. Columns, cornices, trabeations, richly carved capitals adorned the facades of churches and other important buildings, while style fireplaces, altars, pulpits and other elements of ecclesiastical architecture enriched the interiors.

Nowadays, especially because of the high costs, this kind of constructions is very limited, but for religious buildings, restorations of existing works and elite villas, these types of items are still required.
